UNFINISHED BUSINESS - The Chair announced that the unfinished business was on ordering the previous question and adoption of H. Res. 657 and passage of H.R. 1638, both of which had been debated earlier and on which further proceedings had been postponed.

Res. 657 — "Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 2396) to amend the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act to update the exception for certain annual notices provided by financial institutions, and providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 4015) to improve the quality of proxy advisory firms for the protection of investors and the U.S. economy, and in the public interest, by fostering accountability, transparency, responsiveness, and competition in the proxy advisory firm industry."

POSTPONED PROCEEDINGS - At the conclusion of debate on H.R. 1638, the Chair put the question on passage and by voice vote announced that the ayes had prevailed. Mr. Hensarling demanded the yeas and nays, and the Chair postponed further proceedings on the question of passage until later in the legislative day.
