Select Committee on the Climate Crisis - Pursuant to section 104(f)(1)(B) of House Resolution 6, 116th Congress, and the order of the House of January 3, 2019, the Speaker appointed the following members of the House to the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis: Ms. Castor of Florida, Mr. Lujan, Ms. Bonamici, Ms. Brownley of California, Mr. Huffman, Mr. McEachin, Mr. Levin of California, Mr. Casten of Illinois, Mr. Neguse, Mr. Graves of Louisiana, Mr. Griffith, Mr. Palmer, Mr. Carter of Georgia, Mrs. Miller and Mr. Armstrong.

The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she received the following message from the Secretary of the Senate on March 4, 2019, at 10:44 a.m.: that the Senate agreed to the House amendment to S. 483 and that the Senate agreed to S. Con. Res. 6 and S. Con. Res. 7.

The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received the following message from the Secretary of the Senate on February 28, 2019, at 2:17 p.m.: that the Senate agreed to H. Con. Res. 21.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Chair led the House in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

The Speaker announced approval of the Journal. Pursuant to clause 1, rule I, the Journal stands approved.

The Speaker designated the Honorable John P. Sarbanes to act as Speaker pro tempore for today.
