Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence - Pursuant to clause 11 of rule 10, clause 11 of rule 1, and the order of the House of January 3, 2017, the Speaker appointed the following member of the House to the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence: Mr. Hurd.

ADJUSTMENT OF WHOLE HOUSE - Under clause 5(d) of Rule 20, the Chair announced to the House that, in light of the resignation of the gentleman from Kansas, Mr. Pompeo, the whole number of the House is 434.

The House received a communication from Representative Pompeo wherein he resigns as a member of the House of Representatives effective upon his confirmation as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
