Disapproving the rule submitted by the Department of Defense, the General Services Administration, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration relating to the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (03/02/2017 legislative day)

The House received a communication from the Honorable Bill Shuster, Chairman. Pursuant to section 3307 of Title 40, United States Code, Mr. Shuster notified the House that the Committee on Transporation and Infrastructure met in open session to consider eight resolutions provided by GSA at the request of the Department of Veterans Affairs and authorized these leases to be executed pursuant to GSA's leasing authority in accordance with the provisions. Copies of the resolutions adopted by the Committee on Transporation and Infrastructure are enclosed. Referred to Apporopriations and ordered printed.

The House adjourned pursuant to a previous special order. The next meeting is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on March 6, 2017.

DEBATE - The House proceeded with 10 minutes of debate on the motion to recommit with instructions. Pending the reservation of a point of order. The instructions contained in the motion seek to require the bill to be reported back to the House with amendments to prevent the President from making public references to businesses in which he has an equity interest. Subsequently, the point of order was withdrawn.

The House adopted the amendment as agreed to by the Committee of the Whole House on the state of the Union.
