DEBATE - The House proceeded with forty minutes of debate on H.R. 1188.

Considered under suspension of the rules.

Mr. Goodlatte moved to suspend the rules and pass the bill, as amended. H.R. 1188 — "To reauthorize certain programs established by the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006, and for other purposes."

The Speaker announced that votes on suspensions, if ordered, will be postponed until a time to be announced.

The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of May 22.

The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is scheduled for approximately 4:00 p.m. today.

Board of Visitors to the United States Military Academy - Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 4355(a), and the order of the House of January 3, 2017, the Speaker appointed the following member of the House to the Board of Visitors to the United States Military Academy: Mr. Thomas J. Rooney of Florida.

The House adjourned pursuant to a previous special order. The next meeting is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on May 22, 2017.
